May 26, 2004 Hinton, OK wallcloud

In the shortest chase of the year, I drove out west to Hinton, OK to intercept a storm that had split and the south split was moving east into northern Caddo County, Oklahoma. I first went west of Hinton:

Then, I moved back to the southside of Hinton to get a more favorable "escape path". The wallcloud never had strong rotation.

I moved further south of Hinton a couple of miles since a tornado seemed likely. It didn't happen. My view as the storm moved over Hinton:

I made a bad road decision and took a bit of time to get back under what was left of the wallcloud. I followed it to Mustang where I met up with Robert. Being six miles from home was a nice way to end a chase.
