May 21, 2004 Oklahoma panhandle supercells
I left Brush, Colorado in the morning after the successful chase on the previous day. I needed to get home to Oklahoma City on this day, so I plotted a route that would first take me east so that I could drop south toward home in front of the forecasted dryline position. Around Dodge City, clouds started to build, but I decided to stick with the schedule and continue south. Jason Brock called to let me know of the storm development further southwest which further suggested that I could meet my schedule and watch some storms. From south of Laverne, near the intersection of 283 and 270 looking at 2 storms to the west:

I worked my way west carfully staying out of the storm to the southwest that was approaching. The right (northernmost) of the two storms was weakening while the other continued to have interesting structure as I approached it.

It was starting to weaken by the time I got close, but it was still quite striking!

I also made a time lapse video of the next storm coming in from the Texas panhandle after sunset. It was dying. (25X).
