August 13, 2002 Chase

 

 

This nice surprise of an August chase wasn't really "sucessful" or exciting, but who can complain about a August chase in Oklahoma. I spent the late afternoon in the Ardmore area of Oklahoma changing storms I was watching several times hoping that something would eventually get itself together. There were some "lowerings" and one very nice gust front, but nothing I would call a wallcloud and no visible rotation. Some of the digital camera pictures:
